Avoid foods with a high glycemic index, such as sugar and white flour, which increase the blood glucose level, and the body will then have to insulin more insulin, thus facilitating the uptake of glucose in the cells. Prefer full grain products and / or natural dough bread. Agavendic juice, stevia, xylitol or erythritol can be used instead of sugar.
Beware of “trans fatty acids”, which are omega-6 fatty acids such as those found in margarine, cooking oil, baked goods, chips, many finished products and grilled foods. Important are the omega 3 fatty acids, as they occur in fresh fish. Olive oil and butter.
Tips for the diet phase
Ensure sufficient movement and fresh air. Jogging, yoga or gymnastics are very good. Avoid, however, very strenuous sports.
